
Easy hummus recipe
Homemade hummus is high in protein which helps balance blood sugar levels and fight hunger cravings. It is good for weight management, may help reduce your cholesterol levels, and reduce cardiovascular disease and cancer risk.
Ingredients:
✓ 400 g boiled or canned chickpeas
✓ 3 tbsps tahini paste
✓ 3 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
✓ 2 garlic cloves
✓ juice of 1 lemon
✓ 1/2 tsp salt
✓ 1/2 tsp ground cumin (optional)
✓ 2 tbsps water
✓ a pinch of paprika
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. You can regulate the texture of your hummus with extra water. Taste and adjust seasonings as you like. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with a bit more cumin or paprika. Enjoy!
